Beware Of Low Flying Fowl

This Guinea hen was one of many running loose alongside the road when it "flew the coop" after I stopped to take some pics. It squawked the entire flight as its wings barely cleared the tassles of the corn stalks growing in the field. Guinea Fowl are relatives of the pheasant and look like a cross between a quail and a wild turkey. Farmers say they're better than watch dogs because they are very aware of their surroundings and go crazy making a noisy racket when anything stirs the flock.
