A new PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians And Gays) Chapter here in the Capital District is getting ready to continue the storied tradition of supporting the GLBT community. I still remember reading letters to Dear Abby (the original Abby — yes, I'm dating myself) from parents lamenting the discovery of a child's homosexuality. She always counseled a message of understanding and referred the writers to the PFLAG organization. And their group always gets the loudest cheers from the crowd at pride parades!
The PFLAG Capital Region NY Chapter will hold their premiere meeting Wednesday 11/15 at 7 p.m. at The Women's Building in Albany. Visit their blog for more details.
