I love "My Name is Earl" — completely hilarious. Since its inception, the show has been very daring with its language and subject matter. Last week Earl called someone a son-of-a-bitch. Pretty tame by my personal vocabulary but that's cutting edge for network television's family hour. NBC sensors are loosening up their standards. How about the name of the band in last night's episode...Fish Taco. I wonder if the sensors got it and let it go, or if it went right over their heads.
While I'm on the subjecty of Earl, I'm having a hard enough time getting over the fact that Jason Lee is a follower of Scientology. But does he have to keep bringing them on the show? Last night was Giovanni Ribisi and we've seen Juliette Lewis, too.
BTW the logo is from Wahoo's Fish Tacos which is a small chain of eateries in southern California. You know, the kind where you order at the counter from a giant community menu, get a number for your table, and they bring out the food when it's ready. I never had a fish taco there, even though that's what they're famous for, but I loved the teriyaki beef burrito. Yum!
