The Economy: Half Full or Half Empty?

The House of Reps voted against normalizing trade with Vietnam. Buried at the bottom of the story were two interesting facts:

• The U.S.'s trade deficit is on track to set a new record close to $781 billion this year.
• Nearly 3 million U.S. manufacturing jobs have been lost since Bush took office in 2001.
These are two good example of why the Bush adminstration says the economy is roaring but the American people just don't buy it.
