Don Imus Is Latest Dipstick With Bigot Talk

Nationally syndicated radio host Don Imus, a veteran of nearly 40 years of anything-goes broadcasting, made racially charged comments about the mostly black Rutgers women's basketball team, describing them as "nappy headed hos." He's got a long history of anti-black, anti-gay, and anti-semetic speech. Honestly, what the hell is wrong with these people?

He made an on-air apology and his corporate bosses promised a tighter leash. Imus in the Morning is heard by millions of listeners on more than 70 stations and the MSNBC television network. Every so often I wake up listened to this idiot on MSNBC if I've fallen asleep the night before watching Hardball with Chris Matthews or other news show. I've found MSNBC as my political news forum of choice.

Rev. Al Sharpton has promised to picket Imus' New York radio home, WFAN-AM, unless he is gone within a week. The National Association of Black Journalists, the editor-in-chief of Essence magazine, and a New York sports columnist joined the chorus against Imus.
