Muskrat Love

Okay, so my goal of walking 10,000 steps a day was quite optimistic. In good weather, I walk along a lake by my house. It's about a mile in distance. Much to my chagrin, that's only about 3,300 steps. Ack! Yesterday, my first full day with the pedometer on, was about 7,000 steps total and that included lots of walking in the yard doing clean up and the walk along the lake.

One nice thing is the wildlife. This muskrat was close to the road and is making a home in a large pond of snow melt and runoff just down the hill from these trees.
