Remember all those "sincere" apologies Don Imus made after his racial and sexist remarks when he was touring the mea culpa circuit. Well, as I suspected, he was only doing what he thought was necessary to save his job at the time.
Don Imus is now suing his former employers saying that his radio bosses could have edited the on-air comments that got him fired — and the fact that they didn't meant they saw his remarks as routine for his often provocative show. CBS Radio and MSNBC had delay buttons, but didn't use them.
So much for taking personal responsibility. He didn't do anything wrong, it was his bosses that did. What he said wasn't offensive...after all, if it had been, his bosses would have bleeped him.
I guess in today's world saying "I'm sorry" doesn't mean much. What a loser.
I can only take responsibility for my own actions. You can be sure that when I say I'm sorry, I mean it. I live by the adage, "Say what you mean, and mean what you say."

I'm not a huge fan of Don Imus; I cried no elephant tears for him when he was let go.
And yet ... he sorta has a point. His bosses at CBS and MSNBC didn't give a rat's ass about the feelings of the amazing young women from Rutgers University that were so insulted by Imus' remark -- they only faked concern when the media scrunity got a little too hot to handle. Les Moonves, CEO of CBS, was the worst -- positioning the firing as a brave stand for civil rights, when anyone could see he was playing a too-late game of C.Y.A.
In that regard, they're no better than he is ...
This strikes me as such a desperate act from a man of such little moral character. No surprises here. It's just sad.
