TV Thursday: Lost

One week left until the season finale and the previews make it look like a doozy!

SPECIAL EPISODE TONIGHT (THURSDAY) AFTER GREY'S ANATOMY!

**SPOILER ALERT FOR ENTIRE POST**

No real reveals this week unless you have any interest in Charlie's back story and you want to know the five best moments of his life. I don't, I didn't, and I'm not going to waste my time transcribing them all here. Okay, I'll just tell you #1. The time he first laid eyes on a pregnant Claire amongst the plane wreckage.

Primary Storyline
• Jack leads the rag tag band of Losties (Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Hurley, Sun, Jin, Desmond, Charlie, Claire........and Juliet) out into the jungle. Jack and Juliet tell the group that the Others are coming in two days for the Losties that are preggers. She's supposed to mark the appropriate tents with white rocks so the invading force knows where to find them.
• Jack calls Danielle out of the jungle. Seems she's been making herself some bombs from the dynamite she's been boosting from the Black Rock. The plan is that instead of finding breeders, they'll find a healthy helping of TNT instead. Boom!
• Sayid's been back working on the radio to call Parachutina's boat off shore for a rescue. He wants to disable Danielle's distress signal that's been playing for 16 years because it is causing interference. Juliet tells him that it isn't Danielle's signal that is the problem...the Others have been blocking all communication from the island via the under water Looking Glass Hatch.

Poor Charlie
• In a flashback, a pubescent Charlie is at the pool with his father who encourages him to jump in the pool. His Dad says he'll catch him and he jumps, goes under water, and the Dad pulls him up. He's proud of himself for being so brave and we find out he goes on to be quite a swimmer.
• According to Juliet, Ben said there was an accident at the Looking Glass Hatch and it's flooded. Luckily Sayid has a schematic from the papers he pilfered from the Flame Station. They'll find it using the cable that goes to it from the beach.
• Desmond tells Chalrie he has to die. The scene is him flipping a switch under water and then drowning. And that if he doesn't die, Claire and the baby won't get rescued.
• Charlie volunteers to go down with the knowledge of drowning since he's willing to die to save Claire and the baby. All he needs to do is swim down, find the switch with the blinking light, and flip it.

The Others
• Ben, fresh back at camp from killing Locke, decides to send the pregger snatchers early. If the pregnant chicks aren't clearly marked, Ben gives them instruction to take all the women and they will be sorted later — the men are to be killed.
• Suddenly Seeking Richard tries to discern what happened to Locke. Ben says that Jacob has ordered the immediate execution of the plan. That can't be true unless he went back to talk with Jacob's din of sin in the jungle.
• Alex is quite distressed when she hears this and runs to Carl. He takes the outrigger and paddles the channel between the island. After briefly being tackled on the beach by Sayid and getting saved by Sawyer his cage mate, he breathlessly informs them that his people are on their way. Not tomorrow, but now!
• Well that just bollocks up the whole plan. The Losties decide they can't set up all the detonators in time so they'll shoot the piles of dynamite from the tree line.

Final Scenes
• Sayid dispatches Jack to the radio tower with the non-combatants with a sweet speech about him being the leader and to start acting like one. Sayid will handle the operation at the beach.
• God bless Hurley, he wants to go with his friend Charlie to the Looking Glass. But Charlie thinks he's gonna drown so he sends his buddy away after they have a nice bonding moment. The Clair rejects his help. Hurley's just lost on Lost.
• Desmond offers to go down to the underwater hatch instead of Charlie. His reasoning is that since he's been saving Charlie all along, maybe he is shown these visions so he'll actually be in a place to save him and that is the real destiny. Well Charlie isn't going to have any of that crazy talk so he gives Desmond a good whack to unconsciousness with the paddle then jumps into the sea. He swims along the bottom of the metal hatch to the air lock. It is supposed to be flooded but it ain't. It would appear that the Station is fully functional. After he shout in relief that he's alive, Others show up and pull their guns on him. Quite unexpected! And that will teach all of us that we shouldn't listen to rumors...with so much skuttlebutt going around that Charlie was gonna be axed, I assumed (yeah, never assume) that he was gonna flip the switch, drown, and be a hero for the cause!

Elsewhere on the Island
• We finally saw Rose and Bernard for the first tiem in, oh, forever? Seems Bernard is quite a shot and will be one of the sharp shooters.

Did Juliet and/or Ben set this all up to play out this way? Is she evil after all? When she said that they were blocking all the communications from the island...is that true? Aren't the numbers being broadcast from the island — remember the crazy guy in Hurley's loony bin that heard them? Did she tell them that Charlie was coming? Geez Louise!

What do you think?

I think Juliet is still working with Ben.

But then again, maybe not.

Damn you Lost!
