Beautiful Coreopsis. I got a variety called "Jethro Tull" of all things this year. I need to post more garden shots. I actually have echinaceia blooming already. WTF? On the other hand my nasturtiums have not thrown out a single bloom, and I usually have great luck with the silly things.
After you mentioned the variety, I thought it might be helpful if I did the same in my posts when I know what they are.
This is a Tequila Sunrise. If you click on the post's "coreopsis" tag, you'll see my pics of variety Early Sunrise. I have another in the garden called Creme Brulee that'll I'll be posting soon. They are smaller plants, smaller flowers, but more dense. I haven't seen Jethro Tull but I'll keep my eyes peeled.
I just put in 7 large (10" pots) of Shasta Daisies from WalMart for $7.99 each. They're supposed to grow to be 3' in height and prolific bloomers so they are good background plants. The ones I bought had a dozen+ buds and are opening already.
Echinaceia is blooming in a park near here...mine are close, probably about a week.
As you can tell, I love to garden. Of course I'd love to see more pics of your garden! :)
