I'm making great progress on my consulting To-Do list. I'm doing all this layout work on an iBook G4 with a relatively small screen. I can't get a full page on the screen where the text is large enough to read. I'm SO tempted to get the new iMac with a 24" screen. Sing it with me, "Heaven, I'm in heaven!" I found one at a $100 discount at ClubMac.com for $1,844 and that's with 2GB of RAM.
My dilemma is that as soon as I buy it, the work will dry up. Although Client #1 tells me there's a backlog on the jobs. And, I understand that all the VPs and Directors are very happy with my work and responsiveness over this past week so that's a good sign that the work will keep rolling in! Sing it with me, "Debt free, I'll be debt free!"
So here's how I'm doing with my list:
Client #1
Layout of two Case Study brochures — Done
Update and layout modifications to 20 Data Sheets — Done
Tradeshow signage — In process
Update ad — In process
Client #2
Crime scene illustration — Done
Client #3
Design of event invitation package — Awaiting client input
500 record database update — Done, including a 10 hour marathon session on Intelius.com to find almost 250 addresses for people that had been returned as address unknown...and you thought no one could find you.
