My mother is just like my ex. They have this personality trait where they have to mention everything they see that "needs to be done." Translation: A subtle non-stop stream of everything they think I need to get done. A passive aggressive honey-do list, if you will.
Gee, the garage door needs to be painted. Oh, those windows need to be washed. The grass sure is getting long, isn't it?
Yes, I see it. I'm not blind. The difference is that I don't have to narrate everything. If I see it, and I want to take care of it, I'll do it. I don't wonder about it aloud so someone else will feel like they should do it. You know what? Maybe I don't feel like painting the garage today. Why don't YOU paint the garage today? Ugh.
When confronted, they say, "Oh, I didn't mean that YOU needed to do it." What the eff is that about? Of course that's what it means. Who the hell else is around? Why else did you call attention to it if you don't plan on taking care of it yourself?
Here's some free advice, if you see something that needs to be done, do it, or keep your pie hole shut.

And yes, I am the good time had by many. MANY. It's just these days I want to see what's on cable first. Ha!

I really don't think that was clear enough. :) I loved the 'honey do" term for things need to be done.
And as far as a break, you should come up to Toronto this weekend. Tony, Sean, Jeffery, Pete, James and myself are all getting together. Could be fun in many ways!
If the weather in Toronto is anything like what they predict for here, you bears are going to have a glorious weekend to frolic around!
I plan on getting away to the county fair and indulge in fried dough and sausage and pepper sandwiches. Yum, yum.
