TV Thursday On Friday: Lost

**SPOILER ALERT ENTIRE POST**

Well, I've been remiss on keeping up with posts on my favorite show Lost. I've also dropped the ball on Douche Bags and Heroes of the Week...that's more related to no one doing anything outstandingly great or stupid in quite a while. Of course, I could always pick someone from the Shrub Administration but that would become monotonous.

Okay, since last I wrote about Lost, lots of stuff has gone down and the writers have done an excellent job of answering questions while spinning even more mysteries. The plot is moving really quickly.

Things I'm Wondering About
• The Oceanic 6 now counts Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid among its members. And the person in the coffin. There was mention that 8 survived the crash so that accounts for Michael and Walt.
• Will Kate steal Aaron, or will Claire die or give him up to get him off the island? Charlie said he saw Claire and the baby leave the island in a helicopter. Did Claire die after leaving the island? There is definitely something about it since Jack isn't comfortable seeing the baby. Is Aaron one of the Oceanic 6? Does a baby qualify?
• Since Kate has to stay in CA for 10 years, is that why she won't go back to the island when Jack begs her, or is it that she doesn't want Claire to get the baby back?
• How soon will Locke lose his hold on autocratic power?
• When will Ben get free? How?
• Are they time travelers? How did the polar bear fossil show up in Tunisia with a Dharma collar? How come it took so long for the rocket to hit, and now for the helicopter to reach the freighter?
• Where did Jacob's shack go?
• How does Sayid end up working for Ben? Where did Ben get those surgical skills?
• Will Desmond be reunited with Penny? Since he wasn't on the flight, he could be off the island and not considered part of the Oceanic 6.
• Kate's getting all Charlie's Angels with her gun.
• Where are Richard and the rest of the others? Are they over on the adjacent island with the bear cages and aquarium?

So much to think about!

Is the tropical island located on the North Pole? Is that the significance of the polar bear? Where was the archaeological site?

Is it a reality show in the future? And the contestants have to find Ben? And the Oceanic 6 are the heroes who helped save something/someone? Am I watching too much reality TV?

Is there any significance with polar bear, tropical island, vetrinarian clinic, time travel, Oceanic to global warming?

If it is time travel, could the baby be Sawyer. I know it is twisted but so is LOST so I got me some license.

OK ... I got sucked in by your 8 minute recap catch up video. Eventhough I had to watch it 3x and was left wondering, what the fuck is going on??. I figured it would all make sense if I started watching it. After 2 weeks, I'm left wondering what the fuck is going on??

sigh. maybe I'll just watch Wife Swap.

cowbell....I think you've got it!

That is exactly how everyone feels!!! No one knows what is going on and that's the whole point as we all try to figure it out together.

The plot twists and turns so that no one can figure it out. It's like a big mystery that once you think you know what's going on, the plot zigs and everything you thought you knew, you didn't.

That's what keeps Losties sucked in...the promise that the mysteries will be resolved and that as that happens, new mysteries appear!

The thing that may be tough for a new viewer is that things now happen "real time" on the island (which is really several years ago since they've only been on the island for 90 days over the course of the show), in flash backs so you get background on what the characters were like in the past before the boarded the plane, and now this season with flash forwards so you know how some of them end up when they get off the island.

Of course, the mystery now is who are the 6 that get off, and how does it happen!

Stick with it!!!

holyfuckmonsters -- so there's flashbacks/forwards too?! No wonder I can't figure anything out.

Yep, a good example is when Kate was on the island talking to Claire about her baby Aaron when they were hanging up the wash to dry. Then we see Kate getting with Sawyer. That happened on the island in "real time".

Then in the flash forward, when she is on trial for the crimes she committed (that we found out about in several flash backs over the past couple of seasons), she talks about the baby. Naturally we assume it is Sawyer's because it is implied that Jack doesn't want to see it because he's in the love triangle and isn't comfortable with her having Sawyer's kid. Then we find out in the cliff hanger when she calls him Aaron it isn't Sawyer's...but Claire's!

So now one of the mysteries is how does she come by having Claire's baby when she gets off the island! Sounds confusing until you get the hang of who is who!!!

You sound like me, with all the questions, I don't think Aaron would count as one of the six since he wasn't born when they took off, I believe Sun and Jin will be the other two. Not sure why but I do. I think Michael is the one in the casket, I'm not sure why, or maybe even Juliet. All kinds of questions go through my head too! I did hear that Michael makes his next appearance in a flash forward on the last show for the season. So you could be right Michael and Walt could be the other two survivors.

I called Kate having Aaron a couple of weeks ago (ask Euphonic Gumshoe -- it's twue, it's twue!). And you know that Sun will be on of the Oceanic 8, since she needs to get off the island to deliver her baby.

As for Richard Halpert, he's in Miami pretending to be Jimmy Smits' brother on CANE. Sugar -- it's the new oil!
