TV Tuesday On Wednesday: American Idol

They keep saying this is the best talent they've ever had. I don't see it. I guess they figure if they keep saying it, the audience will buy in and believe it.

It was guys night singing songs from the 60's and most were forgettable performances. The only thing they all seem to have in common is iridescent teeth from whitening trips to the dentist.

My Favorites Of The Night
Michael Johns — Light My Fire
• The Aussie that sings with an American accent.

Jason Castro — What A Day For A Daydream
• Kinda dippy acting.

David Archuleta — Shop Around
• Endearing but there's something about him that irritates me.

David Hernandez — (Wait 'til The) Midnight Hour
• A four-way tie for fourth, he gets the nod because he's easy on the eyes.

If this was any indication, this is going to be a disappointing season.

I liked the "One is the loneliest Number" kid. I forget his name. I didn't quite get what the big deal over Jason Castro was. David Archuleta makes me think dirty and illegal thoughts. ;-)

Of all of them, I thought Jason Castro was the most original sounding and hypnotic of the bunch.

David is a cutie, but saccarine.
