TV Tuesday On Wednesday: Westminster Dog Show

Our family has generally been a cat family even though we had a German Shepherd "King" when I was little and a beautiful Alaskan Malamute "Tasha" through my teens and early 20's.

Further, I don't care for beagles. But Uno definitely deserved to win last night. As I watched the competition, I saw a dog I'd never seen before...a Neapolitan Mastiff aka Mastino. It is like a Mastiff, but has loose hanging skin like a shar pei or bloodhound.

I wouldn't want one, but he sure was unique looking!

I love Uno! I'm generally not a Beagle fan -- they're cute, but high energy and very vocal, and can be stubborn. But boy is he a looker. The Neopolitans -- I love the color of their coats. I prefer the "regular" Mastiffs. I'll have one, and a Great Dane, if I ever win the lottery.

If the underdogs can win the Superbowl and the Westminster ... get out and vote, y'all!

I'm not a fan of beagles either - too barky.

Now that Neopolitan Mastiff - that's a dog to have just for the looks you would get while walking him.

Beside owning Ms. D, I would love to have an Irish Wolfhound - but only if I have a house with a big yard and live alone.

I love shar peis... but not the combo on this dog.

I try to avoid the jowly dogs, because they drool so much.
