The Answer To My Headache?

Faithful readers know I've been feeling like shit for quite a while. An odd conglomeration of symptoms which have been difficult to unravel.

One of those symptoms has been a headache in my forehead. I had attributed this to a cold, or sinus infection, or something along those lines. But my nose is dry and my trip to the doctor a couple of weeks ago showed no signs of a problem.

I think I may have figured it out. It's this huge, beautiful, 24" screen that I stare at for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Yep, the one that is two feet from the end of my nose. It is either the brightness, or concentrating on reading the screen all day. I'm going to reduce the brightness, sit further away, and take more breaks to see if that helps.

Been to the eye doctor lately? They actually have computer glasses you know. Had to get a pair myself (boo) but they did make the headaches go away (yay). And yes, breaks and the ergonomics have a lot to do with it as well- Once I got the swell glasses -think hot librarian, yeah I know but I can dream- and adjusted the work space my nasty chronic headaches went away.

Worth a try.

If the air in your house is dry, don't rule out dehydration, especially if you wake up with the headache. I used to get headaches in the winter until a co-worker told me about this; I upped my water intake, and--problem solved.

Now I just get 'em from stress :(

headaches and toothaches are the worst. with the size of your screen, maybe sitting farther away might help?
