It's down to the final 11. This week they carried over the Lennon and McCartney theme with songs by The Beatles. In my opinion, it was a horrible show.
My Favorites Of The Night
David Archuleta — The Long And Winding Road
• He was back on his game. He acted like he was stoned in his pre-performance video.
Syesha Mercado — Yesterday
• Really good. Not awesome, but on a night like tonight, it was above the rest.
The Rest (In Order Of Performance)
Amanda Overmyer — Back In The U.S.S.R.
• Same ol', same ol'. At least the hair was almost presentable.
Kristy Lee Cook — You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
• She could have phoned in the performance. Maybe she did.
Michael Johns — A Day In The Life
• Like last week, it was slow and plodding. At least I understood the words.
Brooke White — Here Comes The Sun
• This was the first performance of hers that I didn't like.
David Cook — Day Tripper
• Is this guy a one trick pony?
Carly Smithson — Blackbird
• Boring. The best part of this segment was Simon trying to convince Paula that the song was originally titled "Sparrow."
Jason Castro — Michelle
• Cringe worthy.
Chikezie Eze — I've Just Seen A Face
• Started slow but I thought there was hope when the tempo picked up. Except it went all country and he lost me. Next time, skip the harmonica.
Ramiele Malubay — I Should Have Known Better
• Not great, not bad. A middling performance.
Best Interaction
Kristy Lee Cook telling Simon she was going to blow his socks off.

I love Brooke White--- but she needed to shut the fuck up during the judges comments.
I liked Carly's blackbird-- it showed off her beautiful low register.
David Cook did an awesome job at Day Tripper.
Amanda did well.
And I agree with Sayesha doing a bang up job.
I do not get all the panty-wetting over David Barf-uletta though.
Oh, and yeah-- last night sucked overall.
Totally agree with cb..I think Brooke White kept interrupting Simon's critique just so he stopped talking. She did it on purpose. Those dance moves were horrendous.
LOVED David Cook. (you know I would say that..LOL) By the way, he has the sexiest eyes.
I can't believe you didn't like Carly Smithson's blackbird! I thought it was gorgeous.
The show was bad. Carly could have been booted for wearing that rose covered horse blanket. David Cook may be doing the same thing each week, but at least he sounds good, and does it with confidence. David A. was better, but I am getting tired of the "aw shucks, You like me?" bit. Brooke sucked, and should have done a different song. Sigh-icka unfortunately performed well enough to continue on, even though she finds her notes by circling them with sharps and flats. Amanda was bad, and the audience agreed...
