Scientology: ABC News Nightline

For the second time in the past few weeks (Jason Beghe), someone in the upper ranks of Scientology has gone on camera to denounce Scientology. The niece of the head cheese has founded the Ex Scientology Kids web site and appeared Friday on Nightline. You can watch the entire segment at ABC News. I suppose it won't be long before Suri begins her indoctrination after being taken from her parents.

Cruisitology, through a cadre of lawyers and confidentiality agreements, has done an excellent job of hiding what the organization is all about. For example, they have trademarked their "Bible" (the whole Xenu thing) so it cannot be reproduced without their consent. They also used the courts to sue a cult awareness organization. After running them into bankruptcy with overwhelming legal fees, Scientology purchased the rights to the organization out of bankruptcy court. So, when you call to get information from this group because a family member may be in danger of getting sucked into a cult, you're talking to the cult itself.

But the truth is slowly leaking out and hopefully these disclosures will save people's lives.
