Okay, people, what the eff was that all about?
**SPOILER ALERT**
Here are some of my random thoughts from this week:
Added 1:00: I forgot my funniest line. When Ben was walking through the Tunisian bazaar, did anyone else start humming Hungry Like The Wolf to themselves? Yep, we've seen that camera work before!
• In a couple of previous posts, I mentioned that we still haven't discovered what the big "X" represents in the middle of the map...but in some research I found out that it was identified as the Pearl Station in some Podcast by the producers. Remember the Pearl Station is where they monitored all of the other stations. Oh, yeah, and all the notes they took were whisked away to a dump via vacuum tube.
• Alan over at Some Amusing Blog Pun mentioned in a post that one of the DVDs has a segment on the Orchid Station. Apparently it is only mentioned on the DVD and we haven't seen it in any of the episodes so far.
• Everyone was killed on the way to the Temple. I think maybe we've seen that place before, when Locke was supposed to kill his father.
• After Frenchy and Karl bit the dust in the last episode, we thought that Alex might be spared. Unfortunately for her and Daddy Ben, she was shot execution style.
• The death of Alex caused a couple of major things to happen. First, Ben went to his secret room and called Old Smokey to avenge her death. And avenge, it did. The thing was HUGE and knew exactly what it was supposed to do. Second, Ben time traveled to the future to tell Widmore he was gonna whack Penny in a tit-for-tat game of grief exchange.
• Interesting that both Ben and Locke need Hurley to find Jacob's cabin. Doesn't Ben know that island inside and out? Ben also indicated he needed Locke to talk with Jacob, perhaps since Locke can hear him.
• Poor Sayid — Ben played his ass like a fiddle. So did that guy really kill his wife, or did Ben do it to manipulate him into working for him? His crazy-ass smile and bulging eyes made me wonder.
• Ummm, why doesn't Widmore have better security? He said he was expecting Ben at some point so you'd think he'd live in a fortress. And it would appear that he knows Ben can time travel since he didn't say something like, "Your daughter was killed 3 years ago, get over it."
• Widmore said it was "his" island and that Ben stole it. I presume by killing all those Dharma folks. But how did Ben figure out how to hide the island so Widmore could never find it?
• Charlotte gives me the creeps.
• Is this the beginning of Jack's drug addiction?
• Was that the doctor with the throat slit or not? Was it a time distortion thing, where he was killed but in island time not freighter time?
Enough on last night. Tell me what you're thinking Losties!

I gave up on lost after the first season.
I couldn't have said it better myself. I agree with everything. I kinda was upset with the episode because it was "so-so"..on my blog I focused more on how adorable the friendship is between Hurley & Sawyer. They were trying to protect each other at different times of the episode.
Charlotte gives me the creeps too!
Go Bernard!! He called science man on his fake morse code translation.
I think you are right that this will be the start of Jack's drug addiction. I imagine that Juliet will 'operate' on him and it will be a botched operation because she really isn't that kind of doctor. So Jack will probably be in alot of pain.
I finally got a chance to watch it...quite an eventful episode! Most of Locke's camp got whacked, most of the Boaties got whacked. It was like something out of the Godfather. :)
