Mario didn't get enough votes to stay. He was doing well but they're at the point in the season where everyone is at least doing well...most are doing good or excellent.
American Idol
I've been waiting all season to see Jason go, and what happened? I fell asleep! So 4:20 boy finally went and Seacrest said that the top three were separated by a million votes so Syesha still has a chance even though she was in the bottom two.
Top Chef
Nikki was asked to pack her knives and go. Andrew, Antonia, Richard, and Stephanie won the Quickfire and Richard went on to win the Elimination challenge.

Jason (4:20 boy) did make a funny remark before he was eliminated. Actually, he was quoting someone else's remark (he would never think of something so clever) but they described his performance as "I Shot the Tambourine Man". Yep. That sounds about right.
