Mom's Getting Into The Gardening, Too

Mom made a 'special' contribution to the landscaping yesterday. She found four plastic sunflowers in the garage and stuck them in the garden.

They actually fooled some of the neighbors a couple of years ago.

She was very satisfied so I'll leave them in. What can ya do?

I actually the sunflower in the picture was real when it first came up on the screen. I love sunflowers. I planted loads last year and they done great. But this year they haven't even started. I think I may have to get some plastic ones too. But if they look as good as yours I will be happy :-)

Might be time to clean out the garage a bit before she finds the pink flamingos and the garden gnome?
At least the "sunflowers" will bloom all year for her...

Oh dear, Alex. I just put out the metal storks this morning and the two gnomes are next. I actually like gnomes, though!

I didn't mean to diss gnomes! They're the height of good taste compared to those things that look like the rear view of a fat woman bending over in a polka-dot dress, or the northern Indiana favorite, the geese wearing little hats and clothing outfits. Tim Gunn, where are you?
