I woke up on the couch this morning being serenaded by the theme song of Designing Women. (I fell asleep last night watching the TV Land channel.) I did a quick survey of the room and Cat #1 was asleep in her favorite chair and Cat #2 was asleep in her favorite chair. They have a love/hate relationship so it's rare that they occupy the same room — particularly when the weather is so nice out. Cat #1 likes to stay out all night hunting and whoring around. Cat #2 likes to sleep with my mom.
It was special that just the three of us were together and it was like my own little family. I felt really good and it made me smile inside and out. Simple pleasures.

That is very sweet! I prefer animals to people these days. LOL! So I totally understand.
Yesterday morning I woke up and my cat was at the foot of my bed and he had his head resting on the arch & side of my food. I thought it was so sweet.
Now you see the unifying power of "Designing Women".
