There are many lists of one hit wonders. Just do a Google search if you don't believe me. Orinoco Flow by Enya doesn't seem to be on any of them. Perhaps because she had moderate success with other songs, or that she is more new age than pop.
Regardless, I love this song and I love the visuals in the video. I bought it on laserdisc way back in the 80's. For you young ones, laserdiscs preceded DVDs.
Do you have a favorite one hit wonder?

I'll have to get back to you on my favorite one hit wonder but I can tell you my other favorite Enya song - "Only Time". Awesome!
'Afternoon Delight' - Starland Vocal Band
I learned some time ago that Enya produces every single sound on her tracks: singing, background vocals, instrumentation. Pretty cool, huh?
Is "Shout" by Otis Day and the Nights a one-hit wonder? How 'bout "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by JET? So many songs, so little time...
I'll start with Radar Love by Golden Earring but the list certainly doesn't stop there. I can never pick just one...especially when you're talking music.
I Want Candy by Bow Wow Wow. See?
My God this song takes me back. It was number 1 9in the UK for ages. She lives in a big castle in the south of Ireland now as a bit of a recluse. I suppose with all that money she has everything she needs.
My songs aren't necessarily from one hit wonders so much as "B-Side" numbers: Hasta Manana (Crystal Gayle)and The Love Bug Itch (Eddy Arnold) instantly come to mind.
Most of my favorite songs are from no-hit wonders...but I really liked "Life in a Northern Town" by The Dream Academy.
And, I actually really loved this Enya song. I forgot about it, so thank you!
Favourite Enya: "How Can I Keep From Singing" (it's a Pete Seeger cover, and she handles it beautifully).
Favourite One-Hit Wonder: Changes almost hourly, especially while I'm blogging. Currently, it's "Mickey" by Toni Basil.
