Age Is Creeping Up On Me

I've been fighting the aging process quite valiantly, thank you very much.

But, there's only so much one can do before one's body gives in to nature.

I bought a three pack (yup, a three pack) of reading glasses at Wal*Mart for $7.86. Why the glasses? Blurry vision when I read. Why Wal*Mart? Cause it's just up the road and you don't get any cheaper than that. Why a three pack? Well, it was one for $7.86 or three for $7.86 so that seemed to be a no brainer. Plus, I'm also getting forgetful so having a pair in each room solves the "Where'd I put those effing glasses" problem, too.

Those of you still below 40 years old, stop snickering about my descent into middle age. Your day will come. See, the human body is a funny thing. I had been warned that human eyes actually change shape in your 40's and would necessitate reading glasses. It's something you can't control — not with diet nor exercise. I thought I'd be immune because my eyesight has always been 20/20. Never wore specs or contacts.

Now it seems that times have changed and so have my eyeballs.

Your only as young as the man you feel ;-) I was told that its all down hill after 30!!!! That was kinda true for me. I need glasses and wear lenses too I am absolutely blind without them and then all sorts of things started to crack and break down lol. :-)I think you look fab. :-)

You're just lucky old age is only creeping up on you; old age broke into my house one night when I was sleeping, stole my hair, and beat me nearly to death with a codger stick. Almost overnight I went from Babydaddy to Mr. Roper!

And I'm not yet 39...
