Anyone In The Market For A Private Jet?

Update on yesterday's post:

General Motors will return two of its leased corporate jets amid intense criticism in Washington this week on the luxury travel arrangements of its chief executive even as the company pleads for federal aid.

CEO Rick Wagoner was in the capital to testify on the company's dire financial situation but his testimony was overshadowed by irate lawmakers who blasted him for flying on a private jet to ask for public funds and failing to make personal sacrifices in exchange for federal assistance.
Too bad it took a public shaming to get them to do the right thing.

UPDATE: It was two of their five jets.

Methinks a public shaming is the only way to get these toads to do the right thing, so a public shaming it is! The mainstream media won't do it because most of them would salivate over such perks, whereas citizen journalists like us bloggers know a little better how to live well within limited means.

I'm guessing they see this pressure to restructure in a brighter light than they let on--they can go bankrupt, busting the unions, then hire folks back at a much-reduced salary to work in the "new" company. Of course, THEY should reduce their pay by the same percentage, or more. No matter what happens, the scum always floats to the top...

asshats. that is the only word for them. i hate it when all these huge corporations cry and whine, but the men in power do nothing to change their OWN lifestyles. do not ask for help if you are not willing to sacrifice. god knows that john q. public has to do it. why can't they?
