I Love My Reusable Grocery Bags

It took me a while to get on board with the reusable grocery bag thing, but I'm glad I did!

Now if only I could find something comparable to scoop the dirty cat litter into, I'd stop collecting the disposable ones myself. I suppose paper lunch bags are the better bet there.

Very nice indeed. We have something similar.

Yay! I love this! It took me a while to remember to use them...but now I keep them in the trunk of the car, and now I always remember.

Not only are the big reusable sacks easier to carry home, but just by using them for grocery shopping, I've saved thousands of plastic bags from polluting the environment, choking sea turtles, filling up landfills, etc. It's such an easy way for everyone to make a really big difference.

Cyrus, if they were in the trunk, I'd still forget them! I keep them on my front passengers seat!

I like those!! Mine are just a plain BRIGHT green.

Keeping them in the backseat doesn't always mean I remember to take them in with me. I just need to get into the habit.

I found some great foldable nylon bags at Blood Bath & Beyond. As an urbanite, what was getting in my way was the size of reusable bags. These guys fold down so they can fit in a pocket. I keep them in my manbag and have been very good about using them.

I hate to admit it, but I really do feel better about not using the plastic bags from the market.

But Michael Sean Morris is right about cleaning the cat box. I'll have to figure out a "friendly solution" to that one.

It took me a while to get into the habit of using them (they were on the back seat) but I love 'em too--I don't worry about a bag failure dropping a big can of whatever on my toes. Yours are rather attractive--I have Marc's shrieking green kind, proudly emblazoned with the name of the cheapest grocery in town.
