Angelina Jolie Stops Traffic In Albany

Albany's big news is the filming of an action sequence for the upcoming Angelina Jolie movie Salt. The pic above shows a gasoline tanker that features prominently in the shot.

Traffic has been halted on most of I-787's 4-level interchange ramps where traffic accesses the state government offices in the Empire State Plaza (see pic below) and the Amtrak station across the Hudson in Rensselaer.

The movie takes place in Washington, D.C. but the Albany location makes a great on-screen double since traffic could not be halted in D.C.

I passed the location when I was dropping off a package today and all the traffic on the ramps was going in reverse. They must have been resetting the scene for another take.
