Pearls In The Necklace Of Life #12

Honesty is the best policy:

"Nothing ruins the truth quite like stretching it."

Did you ever notice the pearls of wisdom that can be found on sign boards? Whether it's in front of a restaurant, church, or even a fire house, there are some clever folks out there that can turn a phrase and impart life lessons. I'll keep you posted on the best ones I see.

There's a readerboard on one of the churchs here in town that has some surprisingly good ones, too. The latest one says "The key to happiness is found in gratitude". Not as clever as some of their others, but still good.

This one came from the local Methodist church.

When my Dad was alive, he kept up one of these at the local firehouse which is on the main route thru town. He'd change it every week with something clever. People would send letters that they looked forward to Monday mornings and their commute to work to see what the new message would be. He was even profiled in the city newspaper.

Sometimes it's the little things we do that can make a difference in others' lives!
