My annual repost...
National Anthem 1999
Cher's final notes give me the chills every time!
Halftime 2002
The nation was still in shock and mourning from 9/11, with a bit of a guilt complex on whether it was okay to enjoy ourselves. The unexpected tapestry of names and Bono revealing that the lining of his jacket was the U.S. flag were strokes of brilliance!
Commercial 1984
An ad the likes of which we'll never see again. The 30 seconds that became a phenomenon, and set the tone for all SuperBowl advertising to follow.

It's Like Thunder...And Lightning...
…the way you love me is frightening. We are having our first thunderstorm of the year. It has been raining here most of the week and I also took my first walk down along the lake on Thursday when it was in the low 50s. The snow is all gone, but hold on pardner, they're predicting up to 3” of snow tonight.
Back to Knock On Wood. I hold this song responsible for about 25% of my hearing loss because I listened to the 45 non-stop with the record player’s arm pulled back, and volume on full blast through my stereo headphones.
Here is the version by Amii Stewart:
And I found this version from Cher:

If I Could Turn Back Time
After 25 albums that have sold more than 100 million copies, Cher is returning to her roots in Vegas to be one of the headline acts at Caesars Palace. I worked for a guy who was a fan of theirs back in the 60's when Sonny and Cher went by Caesar and Cleo.
She will begin a three-year, 200-show engagement May 6. "Cher at The Colosseum" is a 90-minute show scheduled to include hit songs from her career of more than 40 years, with choreography, costumes and special effects.
Cher will alternate performances at the 4,300-seat Colosseum with other headline acts Elton John (The Red Piano) and Bette Midler (The Showgirl Must Go On), filling the space of Celine Dion.
Ticket prices are from $95 to $250. I saw her in her "farewell" tour about 5 years ago at the Arrowhead Pond (home of the NHL Mighty Ducks) and now called the Honda Center. She, and the show, were effing awesome!!!
