You always have so many beautiful pictures of flowers buddy. Are these all from your garden? Ours are really only starting to come into bloom now. We are getting so much rain at the moment but we need some sun to sustain them
rodger--i'm using the Nikon D80 with a 28-200mm zoom lens. I'm about 18-24" from the flower on this shot...and, lately anyway, I've had to wait for the breeze to stop as well.
Now that I'm shooting digital, I can take as many shots (different focal points, times of day, lighting, etc.) as I want and then just post the best one(s). Of course, I generally don't color correct in Photoshop but I do crop to make the shot more interesting and sized properly for the blog. I'm not sure if that's "cheating" or not!
[Remember the shots of the guy with the cat on his head in NYC? I just took some shots of a guy with a falcon on his arm sitting on a bench in Park City. I'll probably start the vacation photos on Monday.]

Thanks. Unless otherwise noted, the flower pics are from the yard!
Nice photo Gavin! I always have trouble getting good tight shots...usually too much of a breeze.
