Here's another orchid I've had success with from the last bunch that I ordered from Aloha Orchid. It did not have any bud, spike, or bloom when it arrived.
On a bad note, I have killed 75% of the dendrobiums. I discovered they don't like ANY direct sun, including a bit in the morning.

I have stuck with Phalaeonopsis, they are by far the easiest to grow. I am thinking about trying a Miltonia. From what I have heard, Dendrobium they also have a very particular watering schedule in order to get them to bloom. You are a better man than I am.
