In the post about Eight Is Enough, I commented how much I loved the theme music and that I also loved the one for the Super Friends cartoon.
It's the driving beat and base track.
Here it is from 1973, with those pesky kids Wendy, Marvin, and Wonderdog.
The closing has the music with no voice over.
Then, in 1976, Hanna Barbera gave the trouble prone teens the boot in favor of the Wonder Twins Zan, Jayna, and their space monkey Gleek.
Nowadays, I don't miss The Emperor's New School (9 a.m. ABC). The more things change, the more they stay the same.
See ya in front of the tv!

Ooooooooooooh my friend, you have way too much time on your hands.
Never heard of the Emperor's new school though the animation seems to e in the style of Aladdin.
But what do I know.
Enjoy the end of season festivities.
Love the voice-over by Ted Knight in the 1973 Super Friends; I even watched the end credits just to make sure it was him.
I watched both of them, but I liked the ones with the Wonder Twins better.
Great catch on Ted Knight. I didn't make the connection!
I like the first version better because of the intro, vs the trumpet fanfare of the second. Also, in the second, my favorite Aquaman looks like he's performing at Cypress Gardens.
Anyone who posts about the Super Friends warrants a comment from me. Personally, I love the wonder twins, but I agree: the original theme song rocks. Thanks for the fun videos. It's like crack to a comic geek like myself.
