After only two weeks, the vines have sprouted roots. The "Blackie" Sweet Potato vines are doing the best with long robust roots and perky leaves; the "Marguerite" have less developed roots and their leaves have bounced back after initially drooping from the shock of clipping; and the Ipomoea "Sweet Caroline" is doing the poorest with small roots developing and have lost all their leaves — but I haven't given up hope! It is hard to see the roots in the pic, but at least you get an idea of what they look like at this stage. I just transplanted them from the 100% peat moss they started in to a half peat moss / half potting soil mixture.
