From my Heroes of the Week to Douche Bags in less than a week!
After saying it would not stock copies of If I Did It written by murderer O.J. Simpson in its stores, the chain changed its mind and will indeed carry the book.
"We've been monitoring the pre-orders and customer requests and have concluded that enough customers have expressed interest in buying the book to warrant stocking it in our stores. We do not intend to promote the book but we will stock it in our stores because our customers are asking for it."
For days Simpson's book has been in the top 100 on Barnes & Noble.com and at one point even topped the best-seller list. If I Did It has also entered the top 100 on Amazon.com.
I don't know who's worse, Barnes & Noble, or the people who would actually pay money for this piece of shit.

It's all about the money. B&N are in the business of making money - not that I'm justifying their money whoredom.
What about the Goldman's? They are the ones behind the publication of the book. Considering their part in suppressing the original publication and now talking about "bringing closure to their loss" and their statement that this is the only avenue open to them to get the damages from their civil suit,I have to wonder about their motives. The only answer I come up with is a case of rather cynical, calculated greed.
I'm embarassed to be from here, frankly.
I like to read historical books and I bought some my favorite various historical books at most discounted prices from Barnes&Noble.com store through CouponAlbum shopping site......!
