American Idol: Josiah Leming

My early season favorite Josiah Leming is finding there's life after American Idol.

He's gone from living in his car to having a record deal in the span of six months. Morristown teenager Josiah Leming — forever known as the kid living out of his car — has signed with Warner Bros. records. Earlier this season, Josiah made it to the early rounds in Hollywood, but failed to make the top 24 cut.

His story, determination and often tearful moments pulled at heartstrings. Even Simon Cowell took a liking to him.

It's certainly a change from a year ago, when Leming was living in his car, driving around the Southeast, booking stray gigs and waiting tables. Leming knows his fame has a shelf life. "I understand I have a small window of opportunity to deal with," he says.

I bet the ink smeared as he signed the dotted line through all those Crocodile tears. I swear to God that boy could weep at the drop of a hat.

"Josiah, you forgot your change."

(Wrinkled brow, tears spilling over his lashes)

"th-th-thank y-y-you!" sniff sniff.

He cracked me up every time he cried on camera. Is that mean?
