Is anyone else as pissed off as I am that the leadership of the Democratic Party in Florida and Michigan have caused a huge problem in this primary?
Their rampant egos, trying to make their primaries among the first, has upset the whole apple cart. Now the Democrats in those two states are whining about not being heard. Well, you should have thought of that a long time ago. You knew the penalties and you should have ditched your leaders. How come I haven't heard about any of those leaders resigning or being forced out? Even now you aren't taking action to correct your self-inflicted problems.
Now it is too late. And stop complaining about your vote not counting and take responsibility for fucking up the whole thing for everyone else. You people are my Douche Bags of the Week.

I really had to shake my head at the ego trip going on there.. I actually thought I mis-heard when I caught the story at first. As vital as this election is to this country these jokers had to start a pissing match over something that matters not in the least in the long run.
And my apologies to the nice folks in Florida- because I know many lovely people from Florida- but what the fuck is it with that state and anything involving an election I ask you????
First there was the 2000 election debacle in Florida, and now this. It has me thinking maybe Florida shouldn't be allowed to vote--ever.
I think it's amusing that now, suddenly, everyone is worried about MI and FL primaries. Where was everyone when the case was being made that this whole process is screwed up, and that's why our primaries were going to be moved? Oh, right ... no one cared about us back then. It isn't like we didn't give months and months of fair warning. This was initially discussed way back last summer.
Our (MI) party leaders made a decision. It isn't clear how we could have stopped that. There was quite an outcry from both the folks on the street and the press here in MI about the stupidity of holding a primary when the DNC had already decided not to seat our candidates. Unfortunately, my understanding is that the DNC made that decision after the process was already set in motion, and the legislature had already approved the plan. So, ditched our leaders? How exactly do I do that? Can I just go to the Post Office and vote any time I want? :)
And just what is so sacrosanct about Iowa and New Hampshire? And why blame MI and FL and not the DNC? Surely the DNC could have said, "OK, we'll seat you this time, but next time around we're going to work out this mess before this happens, because we'd really like to make sure your votes count and that you're not just wasting taxpayer dollars." Seems like a more mature response than a "time-out." ;)
Yup, it's a mess, but there's plenty of blame to go around, including a completely broken system that caused all this in the first place.
On the upside, it's nice people are paying attention, to the state with the single worst unemployment figures in the country. On the downside, they're only grousing about our delegates, and not actually talking about our issues .... yet again.
