TV Monday On Tuesday: Dancing With The Stars

We're down to the top six so it's time to start the review posts.

In Order Of My Preference

Kristi Yamaguchi (Mark Ballas)
Dance 1: Viennese Waltz
• Could Mark be any studlier in that military dress uniform?
• Lots of energy.
• Floated and covered the dance floor well.
• Great use of the sparkly umbrella as a prop.
• Huge difference between them and the previous Viennese Waltzers.
• Judges score: 9 8 9 = 26



Dance 2: Cha Cha Cha
• Lots of foot work and hip action!
• They are fucking awesome!
• Judges score: 10 8 10 = 28

Mario (Karina Smirnoff)
Dance 1: Foxtrot
• Light on his feet.
• Struck the same pose three times.
• Great floor coverage.
• Judges score: 8 8 8 = 24

Dance 2: Mambo
• Really conveyed the Latin flavor of the dance.
• Seemed like he was just dancing and not counting the steps.
• Timing a little off at the end.
• Judges score: 9 9 9 = 27

Shannon Elizabeth (Derek Hough)
Dance 1: Tango
• Crisp.
• Severe (in a good way).
• Distracting skirt covered her legs.
• Judges score: 9 9 9 = 27

Dance 2: Mambo
• She is long and gangly.
• She still seems awkward and I wonder if it is because she's not used to wearing such high heels let alone dance in them.
• A little too much hip action to show the judges they were wrong last week.
• Judges score: 8 8 8 = 24

Jason Taylor (Edyta Sliwinska)
Dance 1: Quick Step
• He's tall so he can really cover a lot of dance floor!
• Fast and fun.
• Judges score: 10 9 10 = 29

Dance 2: Paso Doble
• Great choice of the NFL theme song.
• Judges score: 9 8 9 = 26

Cristian de la Fuente (Cheryl Burke)
Dance 1: Viennese Waltz
• Seemed like he was tippy toeing around.
• Too much spent on final move.
• Judges score: 8 8 9 = 25

Dance 2: Samba
• Lots of action.
• He is Brazilian and this dance suited him.
• Was doing great until the poor guy pulled a severe muscle cramp in his left arm and he was in some serious pain.
• Judges score: 7 7 7 = 21

Marissa Jaret Winokur (Tony Dovolani)
Dance 1: Tango
• Her bubbly personality was subdued to be in character for the dance.
• I thought the dance was kinda boring.
• Judges score: 9 9 9 = 27

Dance 2: Rumba
• She didn't seem to be doing much dancing.
• Judges score: 9 8 8 = 25

Professional Mark Ballas is the best dancer on the show and makes me want to dance myself!
