Alex--Sorry that I can't tell you! It's been in the garden for many years and I have no idea. Best I can say is that it is "small leaf" and is only about 2' x 2' in size.
Mike--Wait until Sunday when I post all my pics from the Albany Tulip Festival. I took them on Wednesday with my new Nikon D80 and zoom lens. I went back yesterday and took a ton more with two fixed lenses. I guess I set the camera up wrong because all of the second set of pics came out black. :(
Those pics are lovely buddy. My husbanoid is fond of taking pictures of flowers and plants etc. You can see them on his blog via his flickr at www.eiain.co.uk

May I ask what kind of rhodo that is? I wanted ones with purple flowers, but mine were actually more fuchsia when they bloomed, very disappointing.

mmm! love that rhododendron! And I've always liked the tulips with the pointy petals, too.

That bottom tulip looks like the ones I have, named "flaming parrot." (I couldn't resist the name, or my favorite colors both in one flower.)
Looking forward to the tulip pics.

Alex--I just saw one of the rhododendrons at Walmart's garden center. It is called "Purple Gem." Hope that helps!
