The baby birds would make such a racket when the parent would show up with food. This went on all yesterday afternoon. I made the bird house in 6th grade shop class.

Gavin - That's not a bird we see in the West. What is she? You MADE this in 6th grade? Way ahead of me.
It is a sparrow of some sort. After your question, I tried to identify it online but couldn't. I'll take more pics to see if I can figure it out. There are house sparrows in the smaller bird house about 10' from this one and I know they are different.
We don't have nearly the variety of birds that you have. We have lots of different sparrows, though.
The confusing thing is the slightly yellow cast in the photo, which makes this look like a yellow finch.
