After Mark reported that Portland, OR is now in its dry season, I thought about what's been going on here in upstate NY. It has been pouring rain every day. Buckets and buckets. Nothing is really growing because the ground is waterlogged.
We've had 6.5" of rain so far in July which is 3.75" above normal. Then there's the humidity that's gone along with it.
Finally, today is an absolutely brilliant day and hopefully it will hold through the weekend. I'm going to get out in the garden to do some pruning. The forceful deluges have broken a lot of the flowers.

We've been in the same boat, which I was beginning to wonder if it was going to turn into an ark. It is dryer here in Boston today and tomorrow is suppose to be nice too, though they are predicting the monsoons will be back on Sunday.
