Festivus (For The Rest Of Us)

Today is Festivus. A tongue-in-cheek holiday celebration that got its start in 1966. It was later introduced to the public in the Seinfeld episode titled "The Strike" that first aired on December 18, 1997.

The day has become a bit of a phenomenon, where Festivus has entered the cultural lexicon as a means of eschewing the traditional consumerism that has enveloped Christmas.
