Wonders of America Trivia Stamp #11

SPOILER ALERT — READ TRIVIA POSTS IN ASCENDING ORDER.

New Question on Stamp #11:

Where is the longest span in America?

Hint: It's not the gap between Madonna's front teeth.

Answer will appear in post with "Stamp #12" in the title.

Answer to Previous Question on Stamp #10:

The longest reef in America is off the Florida Keys. The Florida Keys, a chain of islands approximately 220 miles long, curve south and west of mainland Florida. Stretching along beside them, about six miles seaward, is a long barrier reef. Coral reefs are actually colonies of tiny animals called coral polyps.

On May 27, 2006, the U.S. Postal Service released the Wonders of America stamp collection. There are 40 stamps that feature natural and man-made wonders of the United States. The front of each stamp illustrates the superlative nature of a particular place or thing and the name or location of the featured wonder. Text on the back of each stamp provides relevant statistics and other interesting information.
