It's that time in the countdown for a long distance dedication.
Reviewing my list makes it clear that I dig the English sound and creativity. I had the good fortune to meet someone from London that has become a lifelong friend. Kind, interesting, successful, funny, and quite a character. I'm dedicating this song to him and his partner who have afforded me the hospitality to stay with them and enjoy London on several occasions. I look forward to my next visit that will take us to his hometown of Manchester.
The Pet Shop Boys from London sold me on the West End. Been there, LOVE IT! If I could move there, I'd do it in a second. The song is about class distinctions between the working class East End and the cosmopolitan West End — and not about the red light district of SOHO.

It's all about the Pet Shop Boys.
I can't even choose a favourite song from that album, because they're all so good.
"Please" was one of the first albums I bought where I liked the non-singles as much as the singles.
