Multi-Post Update

Hero of the Week: Kathy Griffin — Kathy will be on Larry King Live tonight. She's always an interesting guest and loves to say whacky off-topic things to throw him off his game. The last time she was on she outed Merv Griffin (that was before his death).

Douche Bag of the Week: IRS — Matt Murphy, who caught Barry Bonds' record-breaking 756th home run baseball, sold it at auction for $752,467. He'll get $627,056 and the auction house gets 20%. Figure on the IRS getting 50%.

TV Thursday: Top Chef — Matthew W. Walli, a 20-year-old homeless man, was busted by Nassau County police and charged with robbery as a bias crime for being one of 12 people who allegedly surrounded, spat on, and assaulted Top Chef Season 2 cheftestant Josie Smith-Malave. She was with two of her friends at a Long Island bar over Labor Day weekend. He is the only member of the dozen alleged attackers who has been fingered in the incident. If convicted of the bias charges, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
